Pokémon Unite weakens Gengar and brings other changes

Pokemon Unite, finally, will receive its first update to balance the characters, especially Gengar. Coming on August 4, the novelty also adds the spectator mode, that is, which allows you to watch matches without necessarily playing. It is worth remembering that the game is available for free on Switch and will soon arrive on mobile phones.

Many players complained about the destructive power of Gengar's Hex skill, which was actually too strong. The update should mainly solve this problem, making things fairer during the match.

Another drastic change, this time for an improvement, is to Charizard's abilities. All of his attacks have been buffed and should do more damage against opponents. The same goes for Talonflame, Venusaur, Absol and Wigglytuff.

Other Pokémon that have been "nerfed", that is, weakened for balance, are Cinderance, Eldegoss, Cramorant, and Machamp.

The Spectator mode should arrive to allow everyone to watch matches and better study opponents and friends, to improve skills or discover new strategies during clashes in the game.

Pokemon Unite on mobile

The game arrives for mobile phones between this month and early September. Just like on the Switch, those who download it will soon receive access to the mythical pokémon Zeraora, which was released for free to everyone in the game.

Pokemon are usually bought with coins received in matches or with real money. It is also possible to get a season pass to unlock more items. Pokémon Unite is Moba-style, similar to League of Legends.
