As the last stage of its evolutionary line, Blastoise will start the game as Squirtle, evolve into Wartortle at level 5, and reach its final form at level 9. With a focus on resistance and support, the Pokémon should further slow down the meta dominated by fast and offensive little monsters.

Blastoise's strikes slow and stun enemies

With his skill set, Blastoise can not only protect allies, but also hinder opponents with quaffles that apply crowd controls such as slow and stun. He attacks from a distance and also has the passive Torrent, which increases his attack and special attack when his health reaches half.

At the beginning of the game, the player starts as a Squirtle with Water Gun — a jet of water that slows or incapacitates opponents — and Skull Bash — a headbutt capable of stunning the first enemy hit. During the game, it is possible to evolve these moves by reaching levels 5 and 7.

At level 5, Water Gun can become Hydro Pump — an even stronger jet of water, whose effect pushes opponents back and stuns — or Water Spout — an area attack that squirts water at a location, slowing all Pokémon inside. out of reach.

At level 7, Skull Bash can become Surf — a move in which Blastoise rides a wave, pushing and stunning enemies hit — or Rapid Spin — an ability that makes the Pokémon retract into its shell and start spinning at high speed, with more damage on basic attacks.

Its strongest move, or Unite Move, is Hydro Typhoon. When using the ability, Blastoise gains a shield and squirts water in a circular motion, dealing damage and knocking back all Pokemon it hits.

Blastoise can break opponents' formation

In Pokémon Unite's current meta, Blastroise can make a huge difference when it comes to protecting the team in combat. Previously, players who wanted to play as Defenders could only choose between Snorlax, Crustle, and Slowbro. With the arrival of the Seafood Pokémon, more trainers are likely to choose to defend allies instead of just attacking.

In conjunction with the healing powers of Blissey and Eldegoss, Blatoise has what it takes to become a near-immortal barrier, able to throw itself into the middle of the opposing team to disrupt formation and distribute crowd controls.
