Pokémon Let's Go will have smartphone integration and collaborative mode

Nintendo Switch will soon get two new games: Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee. The announcement was made this Tuesday (29) and indicates that the titles will take advantage of what went right in Pokémon Go, despite being RPGs.

Both games work in the same way and differ only in the character that will be by your side all the time: Pikachu or Eevee. They have a capture mechanic similar to that of Pokémon Go, with the throwing of Poké Balls. Also, before being captured, the Pokémon appears on a screen reminiscent of the smartphone version of the game.

You'll also be able to connect the Switch to Pokémon Go via a Bluetooth connection and transfer characters to be captured in Pokémon Let's Go. The reverse path is not allowed, but you will have the option to send gifts to the mobile game.

Pokémon Let's Go also has a two-player mode, in which each member uses a Joy-Con to move around in open areas and help with captures and battles.

The game takes place in the Kanto region, the first featured in the franchise. Therefore, it will only have 151 characters from the first generation, in addition to their Alola forms, from Pokémon: Sun & Moon.

Nintendo also announced the Poke Ball Plus, a new controller that simulates the Poké Ball and has only one analog stick. It works like a Joy-Con and can be used to catch Pokémon. The accessory will hit stores along with the games, but will be sold separately.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go Eevee will launch worldwide on November 16. It is worth remembering that they are not related to the main Pokémon RPG, which is in development and should be presented in the second half of 2019.
