Pokémon Go will have Porygon on Community Day in September

It's a way to celebrate the game's community and encourage players to make friends, according to Niantic. During the event it is possible to find special Pokémon in the wild and get exclusive attacks and bonuses during the Community Day period.

Which Pokemon was chosen for the event?

Porygon will be the Pokémon with the most appearances on this day. Porygon is an especially famous Pokémon, which starred in one of the "banned episodes" of the cartoon.

With 25 Candies and the Upgrade item, Porygon evolves into Porygon2. With 100 Candy and the item Stone of Sinnoh, Porygon2 reaches the Poryzon-Z form. Anyone who evolves into their final form during the event or within two hours after it ends will receive access to the Triattack, available for the first time in the game.

Triattack has a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon's Attack and Defense. In addition, it will also be possible to get Shiny Porygon forms during the event.

Anyone who participates in this Community Day will receive triple experience when catching Pokémon. In addition, activated incense will last up to three hours.

Another detail is that, on the day, the game's online store will offer the Community Combo, available for 1.280 PokéCoins, which will include an elite agile MT attack, three incense sticks, six Lucky Eggs and 30 Ultra Balls.

October Community Day will have Charmander
