Pokémon GO announces Electric-type Full Charge event

Pokémon GO will receive the new Full Charge event, which will be active between March 16th and 22nd. During this time, Electric-type Pokémon will appear more frequently, including in Eggs and Raids. The event also marks the arrival of Tynamo, a little monster that debuted in the fifth generation games. Thundurus Therian and Mega Manectric will be for the first time in five-star raids and mega-raids, respectively.

During the Full Charge event, 5km eggs will grant Pichu, Elekid, Electrike, Shinx, Joltik, Tynamo, and Stunfisk creatures. These little monsters should still show up around the map alongside Voltorb and Alola's Geodude.

Raids will also focus on Electric type. The highlights are the five-star raids, which can have Thundurus in Therian form for the first time. The Pokémon is originally from the Unova region and forms the Forces of Nature trio alongside Tornadus and Landorus.

In megaraids it will be possible to find Mega Manectric, another newcomer creature in the game. The Pokémon is the second Electric-type Mega Evolution in the game alongside Mega Ampharos. It is worth noting that Manectric can learn the Wild Charge attack, which has 100 power and spends 45 energy.

In addition to facilitating the capture of Electric-type Pokémon, the Full Charge event will also provide field research focused on evolving the little monsters. Among the rewards of the tasks are MegaEnergies to strengthen Ampharos and Manectric and Poké Balls.

Tynamo can help complete the Pokédex

The addition of Tynamo can make life easier for trainers looking to complete the Pokémon Home Pokédex. The little monster does not appear in any Nintendo Switch games, and can only be found in Pokémon Black & White, on the DS, or Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, on the 3DS. In addition to Tynamo, it is also possible to record its evolutions, Eelektrik and Eelektross.
