Pokemon Go Community Day

When?

January 19 (Sunday), from 15 pm to 18 pm.

Pokemon?

The aquatic Piplup will appear more often during this time, with chances of getting a Shiny as well.

If the player evolves a Prinplup (Piplup's first evolution) into Empoleon (the Pokémon's last form) during or up to two hours after the event ends, there are chances to get a unique ability — an attack it wouldn't normally learn.

What about Community Day bonuses?

Between 15pm and 18pm on Sunday, PokéStops will be able to lay eggs that will hatch at a quarter of the required distance, if placed in the incubator during Community Day hours.

These eggs will also hatch from the Piplup species with chances of being a Shiny. Remembering that Pokémon obtained by eggs generally have better attributes than those obtained by capture.

All Lure modules — which serve to attract more Pokémon — will last three hours, normally these items only last 30 minutes.
