Sylveon, Eevee's new evolution, is released in Pokémon GO

The last Eeveelution that was missing in Pokémon GO has arrived: trainers can now evolve an Eevee into a Sylveon starting this Tuesday, the 25th. The debut takes place with the second part of the Luminous Legends Y event, which included Yveltal in the game. Until May 31, players will find more Eevee and other Fairy-type Pokémon in the wild.

Evolving Eevee into Sylveon in Pokémon GO

According to the Luminous Legends Y event description, Eevee evolves into Sylveon by gaining hearts with the Pokémon as long as he is the active companion.

The companion Pokémon is the one that appears next to the player's avatar and grants some bonuses such as candy of the species or daily gifts (depending on the level of friendship between trainer and little monster).

Eevee's evolution to Sylveon requires the player to have at least 70 hearts. There is a “to-do list” on the companion page that shows which activities earn hearts. Incidentally, the item “Poffin” sold in the Shop grants six hearts at once, but costs 100 coins. Once you get the required amount of hearts, the evolution option (on the Pokemon page) should display Sylveon's silhouette.

There's another, shorter and faster method to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon, but it can only be used once: dub the Pokémon "Kira". This is the easter egg also present in previous evolutions. Despite being single-use, it is interesting for those Pokémon that already have the perfect IVs for evolution.
