Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion arrives in October with all Legendaries

The Pokémon Company announced this Tuesday, the 29th, more details of the second expansion of Pokémon Sword e Shield, The Crown Tundra, which arrives at Nintendo Switch on the 22nd of October. The new region will house all of the franchise's previous Legendaries and will have a doubles tournament. Pokémon Go e Home will be integrated by the end of the year, for transfer and storage of the little monsters in the cloud.

In The Crown Tundra there will be the new "Galarian Star Tournament", in which the player will be able to choose any trainer (and even gym leader) from Sword and Shield history to help him in the double battles of the championship.

It is also in this area of ​​ice that the legendary Pokémon are: all the previous ones in the franchise can be caught in Sword and Shield, exclusively in each version of the game. This includes Lugia, the Regis trio, Kyogre, Groudon, Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Entei, Suicune, among others.

Some of them are found during Dynamax Adventure, a kind of cave exploration, with up to three friends, to battle with the Pokémon's Dynamax forms, what is already known as the Galar Wild Area Raid Battles.

The Crown Tundra arrives on October 22 and from November 6, it will be possible to purchase the Pokémon Sword and Shield bundle with the game's two expansion packs.

The Pokémon Company also took the opportunity to include eight versions of Pikachu wearing Ash's hat in Sword and Shield. They can be obtained by entering Mystery Gifts codes: the first is P1KACHUGET.

Transferring Pokémon Go to Home

Pokémon Home is a system that replaced the old Pokémon Bank, for storing and transferring little monsters between games. However, there was only support for Nintendo Switch games: Let's Go Eevee! or Pikachu! and Sword or Shield.

Pokémon Go will be able to transfer to Pokémon Home until the end of the year. Once in Home, these species can be sent to Sword or Shield, as long as they have been registered or captured at least once in the Nintendo Switch game. Those transferred from Go to Home cannot return to Pokémon Go.

Upon transfer, the player will receive a Mystery Box in Pokémon Go, which will make Meltan appear for a period of time. A Melmetal, evolution of Meltan, will be offered in Pokémon Home, it can be sent to Sword and Shield, in which it will have a Gigantamax form.
