Pokemon GO players are being suspended for 7 days repeatedly

iPhone owners are getting seven-day suspensions on Pokémon GO over and over again. The reason is still unknown. Some users on Twitter and Reddit claimed they didn't violate the rules of the game, but they've still been punished more than three times. Players even reported that after the week ended, they were banned again for the same period. Niantic has yet to comment on the case.

According to Nintendo Life, a similar situation happened last year, where several player accounts on iPhones were banned for no reason. At the time, developer Niantic took responsibility for the glitch and explained that the game's systems weren't working properly.

So far, Niantic has not yet taken a position on the recent bans. On Twitter, user @WhyIdeGamer said he was able to contact the company's support after three weeks of waiting. However, he was banned once again shortly after being granted access to the game.

In another tweet, published this Tuesday (13), the same user shared the three emails he had received from Niantic. The company sent the same response each time, saying that if the player respected the rules of the game, they would not be suspended.

We are committed to maintaining the state of Pokémon GO and our community of trainers. People who violate Pokémon GO's Terms of Service (including using third-party programs and other cheating) may have their gameplay affected and may not be able to see all the Pokémon around them. While we cannot discuss the systems in place, we can confirm that we are constantly refining new ways to ensure the integrity of the game to keep it fun and fair for all managers. As long as you are in compliance with the Terms of Service rules, there is nothing to worry about.

    How Pokémon GO Punishments Work
The punishment that has been applied to players is “Warning 1: Warning”. Per the Pokémon GO Terms of Service, this message appears in the app when Niantic "detects cheating actions on the account." For being the first warning, the user is suspended from the game for seven days.

In the warning received by the coaches, there is an excerpt saying that "further warnings will result in account suspension". Normally, the second punishment lasts for 30 days, however, according to players, they continue to be suspended for seven days multiple times.

The biggest concern for people who are being suspended repeatedly is losing count. However, this punishment is only applied after receiving the first and second warnings. If banned, the player can attempt to recover their profile by filing a ban challenge request on the Pokémon GO website.
