Pokémon Go Community Day (also known as “Community Day”) takes place, usually, once a month. It's a way to celebrate the game's community and encourage players to make friends, according to Niantic.
On these dates, the chosen Pokémon can have access to special abilities and the encounter with its Shiny form ends up being easier. It's a good opportunity to get that special little monster. I'm already thinking about the Magmar Shiny that I'll send to Pokémon Sword when they release the integration with Pokémon Home.

During the 15th, the electric Electabuzz will appear very frequently, with the possibility of encountering a Shiny, the special version with changes in colors. If the player gets enough candy to evolve the species into Electivire, the Pokémon will know the Flamethrower attack.

Pokémon Go Incense (Image: Publicity/Pokémon Go)
During Pokémon Go Community Day events, eggs will need a quarter of the distance to hatch and the incenses will last for three hours, instead of an hour on normal dates.
In addition, two-kilometer eggs will hatch Elekid and Magby (the first form of each Pokémon chosen for the date) and field, temporary, and special research tasks will be available involving the Pokémon (some must be purchased at the store).
