How to open Ramanas Park

First of all, To start the hunt for legendary Pokémon, you must win the Sinnoh League — that is, collect all eight gym badges, battle the Elite Four, and beat champion Cynthia at least once. After entering the Hall of Fame, you will be able to access Ramanas Park on Route 221 and hunt the little monsters.

Inside Ramanas Park, there are several caves with altars inside, which are used to summon legendary Pokémon. To do this, special plates called Legendary Slates must be placed on these altars. You will then be teleported to a special room where the battle actually takes place.

But here come the big questions: how many Legendary Slates are there and how do you get them all? Come with me and I'll explain in detail below.

How many Legendary Slates are there?

In all, there are 12 Legendary Slates, which summon 19 Legendary Pokémon. It is worth mentioning that some of them are exclusive to Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and can only be obtained in one of the two versions. Are they:

Now that you know all the Legendary Pokémon available in both versions, all you need to know is how to get Legendary Slates. It's simple: just find Mysterious Shards by digging in Sinnoh's Grand Underground and exchanging them for plaques.

Each Legenday Slate costs three small shards (Mysterious Shard S) or one large shard (Mysterious Shard L), and the exchange takes place in the Ramanas Park waiting room, with the first saleswoman to the left of the entrance door.

An important warning: it is not possible to choose a specific Legendary Slate to purchase. There's a set order of legendary Pokemon you need to find to unlock the next ones, and each little monster requires a specific room sign to summon. The sequence of rooms is:

  • 1ª: Discovery Room, with Regirock, Regice and Registeel;
  • 2ª: Kanto Room, with Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, or Management Room, with Raikou, Entei and Suicune, depending on your version;
  • 3ª: Soul Roomcom Latias and Latios
  • 4ª: Distortion Room, with Giratina;
  • 5ª: Squall Room, with Lugia, or Rainbow Room, with Ho-Oh, depending on your version;
  • 6ª: Oceanic Room, with Kyogre;
  • 7ª: Tectonic Room, com Groudon;
  • 8ª: Stratospheric Room, with Rayquaza;
  • 9ª: Genome Room, with Mewtwo.

With the plates in hand, just prepare your team with very strong Pokémon that know attacks that apply negative effects, such as paralysis or sleep. It is also good disable autosave in game options to manually save progress before the fight. That way, you can reset the game if you accidentally knock out the little monster.
