Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is remastered for PS4

An old game of Activision is back, this time exclusively for the Sony PlayStation 4: it's about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, which includes only the original version's single-player campaign and features a mission set in Rio de Janeiro. The title supports 4K HDR resolution and ultrawide displays.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you take command of members of Task Force 141, in particular Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, to fight Russian nationalists who commit acts of terrorism around the world.

The mission “No Russian” generated controversy when the game was released in 2009: in it, the player controls Joseph Allen, who is disguised as a Russian to infiltrate the criminal organization and participates in a massacre of civilians at an airport.

Allen is killed by extremist Vladimir Makarov, who knows his real identity, and is then accused of commanding the entire attack. This increases the tension between Russia and the USA, starting a 3rd World War. A task force investigation to find Makarov takes the team to a favela in Rio de Janeiro.

Modern Warfare 2 costs R$ 79,90 on the PS Store

The new version of CoD: MW2 features 4K HDR resolution on PS4 with unlimited frame rate and support for ultrawide PC displays. Textures have improved resolution and detail, animations have been updated, and audio has been remastered.

Anyone who buys the game on the PS Store for R$ 79,90 will get, at no additional cost, the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost bundle with content to use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (from 2019) in Multiplayer and Special Ops modes, and in Call of Duty: Warzone game.

What about multiplayer in CoD: MW2? In a statement, Activision hints that it will not release this feature because older maps have already appeared in other newer titles with multiplayer support, such as Rust and Shipment in Modern Warfare, and Gulag and Boneyard in Warzone.
