Minecraft Update 1.18 is getting closer and closer as the days go by and players are very excited about it! This update is the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update, with the first part being 1.17, which was released in early June 2021.
The first part of the update added tons of new items to the game. Three new mobs were introduced to the game during the first update, and even more mobs are being added along with 1.18.
Snapshots are available for players to preview some of the content coming to Minecraft with the 1.18 update! A confirmed mob is the Director!
Not only is the Warden coming into the game, he's not coming alone either. The Warden will bring a new biome with him for players to explore! This new biome is where the Warden will spawn all games.

What is it
The Warden is a new hostile mob being added to Minecraft later this year. This mob is not only one of the strongest that will be in the game, but it is also quite tall.
The Warden is speculated to be taller than the Iron Golem (the golem is three blocks tall and the Warden is four!). Players who wish to take on a Warden must carry a bow with them and extra sets of armor.
Attacking the Warden while attempting a hand-to-hand fight can be dangerous. This mob can kill players wearing netherite armor with just two attacks. Players not wearing any armor will die with just one.
While the Warden might look like any other powerful mob in Minecraft, he has a secret. The Warden is the first blind mobs to be added to Minecraft. It detects movement by vibrations.
Because of how powerful this mob is, despite being blind, the Warden is the smartest mob in the game. He is the only mob that can detect player movement using vibrations rather than seeing them.
Where to find
The Warden will appear in the new Deep Dark biome that will be added to the game along with the 1.18 update. This biome is very low in terms of world elevation.
The Deep Dark biome is located directly at y = 0. It is home to Sculk and Warden's sensors! Rumor has it that a new structure called the Warden's Cabin will be located in this biome.
There will be many loot chests located in this biome and players will have to go deep into a cave or underground to access them.
