Minecraft was officially released over a decade ago on November 18, 2011. In all these years, the game has received numerous updates, changing the look and feel of almost everything.

5) Ruby
In the early days of Minecraft, developers thought about adding a currency for trading villagers. Ruby was originally intended to be used in village commerce, but was scrapped at the last moment. Instead of rubies, emeralds were added to Minecraft.
Although emeralds serve the same purpose as rubies, many players want rubies added back. Ruby blocks have a beautiful red texture not found on any other blocks.
4) Custom world type
Custom world types were added to Minecraft for a brief period during 1.8 snapshots. With this feature, players were able to create custom worlds with any type of world generation. It was available as an in-game feature during that time.
After being removed in 1.8, this feature was added once again in the Minecraft 1.16 update. To use this feature, players will have to import a custom JSON file, which can be confusing. It would be better if the feature was implemented in the game.
3) Winter mode
Wouldn't it be wonderful for snow to fall continuously every day? Well, it was actually a feature added in Alpha 1.0.4 release. There was a 25% chance that a world was in "winter mode". In this mode, snowflakes would constantly fall and envelop the earth with snow.
This mode was soon removed in Alpha version 1.2.0, when real biomes were added to Minecraft.
2) Craftable horse armor
At one point in Minecraft, horse armor was crafted for just a few snapshots. Horse armor was made from four diamonds, iron ingots or gold ingots and a block of wool. This feature was added in release 1.6.1 via snapshot 13w16a, but was quickly removed in 13w18a.

1) Enchanted golden apple recipe
Enchanted golden apples are one of the best items in Minecraft. They granted eight hearts of gold for two minutes, regeneration II for 30 seconds, fire resistance and resistance I for five minutes. Undoubtedly, it was one of the most broken items and was called the “divine apple”.
Because of this, Mojang decided to remove his crafting recipe in the Minecraft 1.9 update. However, many players felt the change was unnecessary, as crafting an enchanted golden apple required eight blocks of gold and one apple, which is very expensive.
