Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online will have a new online story with the new update 'The Contract'. The new free update will be available to all GTA Online players on December 15th. Rockstar Games has confirmed that 'The Contract' will add a new radio station to the game that is expected to feature "some very special guest presenters". The game's developer also mentioned that radio stations that are already there in the game will receive "major, never-before-seen updates". The story will also see the return of one of the three main characters from GTA V.

'The Contract' update will mark the return of Franklin Clinto, one of the main characters in the story of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar games have hired voice actor Shawn Fonteno, who will reprise his role as Franklin
However, the main highlight of this update will be the addition of rapper and music producer Dr Dre, who could play a big role in the story this time around. Dr. Dre had previously made a small appearance in 'The Cayo Perico Heist' update.

The new GTA Online story is expected to be focused around Dr. Dre. Players will have to team up with F Clinton and Partner, Franklin's agency to become part of a 'wild ride' to recover Dr. Dre that fell into the wrong hands. The phone is said to store the 'hottest property in Los Santos' – which are new and unreleased tracks from Dr. Dre.
New features in GTA Online
'The Contract' is expected to bring new properties and new additional side missions to the GTA Online game. It will also come with new vehicles that include the announced Enus Jubilee and Dewbauchee Champion.
Radio stations can receive several “new and unreleased tracks exclusive to Dr. Dre and a lineup of highly successful artists.” This news will excite fans of Dr. Dre, as he hasn't released any solo music since 2015. Snoop Dogg also claimed in October that Dr. Dre was busy producing tracks for Grand Theft Auto.
