Minecraft has had a great year in 2021, with lots of patch updates as well as announcements of new updates the following year. As the year is almost over, there was a surprise BTS x Minecraft show in the game for the ESCAPE2021 event!
Minecraft is a very popular sandbox game where players can live out their adventure and building dreams. Creative boundaries are always expanding in the game and the impossible is becoming possible. This is even more true now, with real live shows being done in Minecraft and being performed within the game!
The BTS x Minecraft show came as a surprise to everyone as it was kept under wraps until release. It includes two songs by the popular Korean band and was definitely an amazing experience for fans of both genres.
BTS x Minecraft show: Butter & Permission to Dance combo performance!
The concert was a collaboration of BTS and Minecraft. The former is a world-renowned South Korean boy band that debuted in 2013 and has since dominated the music space globally.

The collaboration became a reality with the ESCAPE2021 event hosted on YouTube. This event aimed to look at all the trends and happenings from the past year with some interactive events with their fan base. It definitely gives fans something to look back on and cherish!
The event was officially organized and designed by Noxcrew, the same group that hosts the Minecraft Championships every month, featuring streamers. Seeing as how Minecraft has reached a trillion views on YouTube and is the biggest game of all time on the platform, the celebration is more than justified.

The official concert video has now been released and players can enjoy BTS members as their Minecraft personas, performing on a huge custom stage. The models for the BTS members were all meticulously designed and had features that reflected their real-life personas.
The BTS x Minecraft show featured the band performing 2 of their popular songs, namely "Butter" e “Permission to Dance”. The show featured the back-to-back songs along with choreographed dancing and also some amazing visuals using the creative freedom that Minecraft offers.
This event marks the end of the year for BTS and Minecraft fans, with a big 2022 ahead!
