Ravines can be nearly 40 blocks deep and are usually 5 blocks wide. They can also be small in size and less long, while some can be huge, several blocks long. They have a random chance to spawn in all biomes and even underwater.

The ravines are long and can connect to many cave structures and underground mine shafts. On rare occasions, a dungeon may also spawn near the edges of a ravine. Many water blocks and lava blocks line the bottom of the ravine, but it can also be made up of solid blocks.

Additional structures spawned nearby can be mine shafts, fortresses, or caves. Players can also find ore veins like gold, diamonds, iron, copper, redstone, etc. on the walls of the eroded landscape.

For players looking for Obsidian, it is normally generated naturally on the Minecraft ravine floor if lava and water are available.

Ravines are also great places for players looking for adventure and exploration in their world of survival. There might be some monsters too, so you better watch out!
