How to use /enchant command in Minecraft

Commands in Minecraft are the ultimate shortcut. It can be very difficult to obtain certain items in the game, and some mobs or items may be impossible to obtain without commands.

For example, Giant Zombie is only available in Java with commands. Illusioner is also available with commands only.

Commands make certain tasks much easier. Instead of needing to travel to the Nether, kill a bunch of Wither Skeletons, and spawn the Wither, it can simply be summoned using a command.

Enchanting weapons and armor can also be a difficult task. Acquiring enough levels and the right books or just getting an enchantment table can take a lot of time.

This is where the enchant command comes in.

if i get canceled i'm writing my apologies on minecraft enchantment table

Command enchant in Minecraft

The enchant command can be used to enchant anything that can be enchanted with a book and an anvil or an enchantment table. Here are all the items that can be enchanted in Minecraft:

  • Sword
  • Ax
  • Pickaxe
  • bow
  • Beast
  • Friday
  • Hoe
  • Shield
  • Helmet
  • Breastplate
  • Leggings
  • Football boots
  • fishing rod
  • Trident
  • Turtle helmet
  • Garden shears
  • Elytra
  • Flint and steel
  • carrot on a stick
  • Warped fungus on a stick
  • Book

This means that all these things can be enchanted with the command in the same way as normally with a book or the enchantment table.

To use the command, it must first be activated. This is done in the world settings, either before or after world creation. Once activated, the enchant command can be typed in the chat bar.

The syntax for this is: “/ enchant[ ]” for Java Edition and “/enchant

[level: int]”para Bedrock.

This is what true luck looks like… so I fixed a bow I took from a skeleton on my experience farm and had the level 30 “Flame…” charm available… this is what I got – and hopefully would have it on mine next enchant book was for Power IV... @Pixlriffs #Minecraft @Minecraft pic.twitter.com/BCe3oySf4a

The target refers to any item, such as a sword, that needs to be enchanted. The enchantment can be any enchantment, such as Looting, that needs to be applied.

The level involves setting the enchantment level, for Looting it is three, but for other enchantments it can go up to five. It all depends on the specific enchantment being used.

Enchantment table (

Enter all the correct terms and send the message to the chat. This will enchant the item without using XP, enchanting table, or anvil.
