Locations and Spawn
Players can find Nether Warts growing naturally in a Nether Stronghold and in the Soul Sand Gardens that are found near the base of a ladder. These soul sand gardens can also be found in the housing unit in Bastion Remnant.
They can be rare and very difficult to find, as each Stronghold and Remnant does not have Nether Warts. Players can break it by hand or with any tool.
Nether Warts can also be found in chests inside Nether Fortresses.
Usages for Nether Warts
- Nether Warts are one of the most useful blocks when making potions and are used to brew the basic potion, the strange potion. This is the basis of all potions in the game and is a must-obtain.
- It can also be crafted from Nether Wart Blocks and Red Nether Bricks, which count as cosmetic materials.
- Players can also obtain Emeralds by trading 22 lesser warts for a Master-level village cleric. However, this is not advisable as the emerald barely serves any purpose in the game.
- It can also be planted in Soul Sand to grow it effectively and get more in the long run. It goes through 4 stages of growth and can be harvested in the fourth stage.
- Minecraft Nether Warts can be used on a Composter to increase the Compost level by one.
