Pandas can be found naturally spawning in jungles and bamboo jungle biomes and they spawn with different personalities.

Pandas appear with a random personality trait:
- normal pandas
- lazy panda
- worried panda
- playful panda
- aggressive panda
- weak panda
- brown panda
These separate traits are random and players may want to collect them all. However, breeding pandas requires a little more effort to breed than other mobs in the game.
Location, ambience and food
Panda requires separate breeding conditions to reproduce. The first is that to enter love mode there must be at least 8 bamboo blocks within a 5 block radius. It should be within reach of both Pandas.
If players feed Panda with no bamboo blocks nearby, the pandas will not go into love mode and will simply eat the bamboos.
Players need to feed the pandas bamboo in order for them to reproduce. However, if players feed them too close to each other, they become hostile.
