GTA Online The Contract: How to Start Short Trip Co-op Missions

The contract is easily one of the best GTA Online expansions we've seen so far - and that's not just because of all the celebrity cameos to come. The deal adds the biggest post-launch radio station update to date, a new investable deal, and a big chunk of narrative content.

However, it also adds the short-travel co-op missions. There's a lot to do, but if you want to chill out with Lamar and Franklin, you need to check out these short quests. Here's everything you need to know about starting them.

How to start short trip co-op missions in GTA Online

If you want to participate in the Short Trip Co-Op Missions then you need to make sure you are playing with a 'partner' before heading to Record A Studios in Rockford Hills. This building was added to GTA Online via the Contract update, but will only be available once you have completed all the main quests that come with the Contract update.

GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition update

When you reach the end of the narrative, you will be invited to Dre's studio with Franklin and Lamar, which will open access to Record A Studios and the first Short Trip Co-Op mission. Upon entering Record A Studios for the first time, the first Short Trip Co-Op Mission will be triggered โ€“ it is called Seed Capital. Next, you should be able to find the following two quests โ€“ Fire It Up and OG Kush โ€“ by finding the Lamar Davis (LD) icon on the mini-map.

These missions are interesting and a unique experience in GTA Online as they will force the player to play as either Lamar or Franklin. If these become popular, we could see older Grand Theft Auto characters brought back into the GTA universe via this system in the future. There's a lot Rockstar games can do with the content they've developed over the years.
