GTA 5 is often praised for its rich history, plot and characters. The story involves the stories of 3 different protagonists and their criminal antics together. It is also one of the first games to have multiple plot endings. Different endings feature different missions and plots. This article covers the different endings of GTA 5.

GTA 5 All endings explained:
After the Union Depository Heist, 2 people approach Franklin at his mansion. One of them is Steve Haines, who orders Franklin to kill Trevor due to his behavior. He goes on to explain that Trevor's temper is not good for the FIB and then leaves. Devin Weston visits Franklin soon after and orders him to kill Michael because of his interference in Michael's business. After that, the player controls Franklin and is presented with three options:
1 Mate Trevor:
This option starts the 'Something Sensitive' quest. Franklin meets with Trevor to talk about their problems and the situation they were in. Trevor starts complaining about how Michael betrayed him. At that moment, Franklin points a gun at Trevor and threatens to kill him. Trevor escapes on an oil tanker and Franklin must try to pursue him. In the midst of the chase, Michael calls Franklin and explains how he's going to help him. Michael suddenly appears driving a car and crashes into the oil tank. Trevor is forced out and the oil in the tank leaks around him. Franklin fires a bullet at him, setting Trevor on fire and killing him. After that, the player can only play when Michael and Franklin and Trevor's robbery in the cut is split between Michael and Franklin.
2. Mate Michael:
This option starts the quest 'Time's Come'. Franklin meets with Michael to discuss the situation, but Micahel suspects Franklin has come to kill him and tries to escape in his car. Franklin follows him to the top of a generator tower at Palmer-Taylor Power Station. After a fight at the top of the tower, Franklin finally defeats Michael and pushes him out of the tower. Before Michael falls, however, Franklin grabs Michael's hand. Here, the player is presented with 2 additional options. He can let go of Michael's hand and let him fall and die. Alternatively, he can help Michael up by grabbing him and pulling him up. This option also ultimately leads to Michael's death, as after being pulled up, Michael headbutts Franklin, loses his balance, and falls to his death. After that, the player can only play while Franklin and Trevor and Michael's Robbery Cut goes to Michael's Family.

This is the third option that appears to players. This option involves all three protagonists working together to eliminate all of their enemies. The quest 'The Third Way' starts when this option is chosen. The protagonists eliminate the Chengs, Devin Weston, Merryweather, Strech, and Steve Haines. After that, the protagonists reflect on their criminal life and go their own way. Lester sends the Union Depository hack to their bank accounts and the player can continue to play as any protagonist.
These are the different options available to players after the Union Depot heist. Most players generally tend to choose the Deathwish option as it is the most favorable.
