Fortnite Imposter Mode: A Copy Instead of a Collaboration

Fortnite Imposter Mode was recently released and is supposedly an inspired mode among us. The game Entre Nós is a huge hit and a delight for gamers as the social deduction game feature is now available in Epic Games Battle Royale. However, it doesn't suit everyone, as a community manager from Innersloth or the creators of the indie game “Among Us” were saddened by this release. The article describes how the latest mode in Fortnite is a copy of the popular game rather than being declared a collaboration.

A game that took the world by storm, taking streamers to new heights and giving regular players some sharp hits, is something that has managed to stay fresh no matter how many hours have been put in. After the storyline of Fortnite underwent a major change with the Fortnite Season 7 update, Fortnite brought a new set of community items to the game as well. However, the latter does not please both communities very much.

The new Fortnite v17.40 update recently hit the live servers and brought a bunch of new content to Battle Royale. The newly-introduced content that Fortnite 17.40 brings to the title includes the Wonder Woman Fortnite skin and the exciting Impostors Mode that appears to be an Entre Us game mode within Fortnite. “Will you ensure the safety and security of the Bridge…or follow in Jones' footsteps and sabotage the Imagined Order from within? Discover your role in Fortnite Impostors,” states Epic.

However, a part of the community, as well as the creators of Among Us, are disappointed in Epic, as the new mode, while fully inspired by the previous one, did not credit or decide to collaborate with another game completely. While there are a few differences and everything has been decorated in a Fortnite-themed veneer, with tasks like fixing the Battle Bus or prepping llama supplies, it's still become a talking point among players. Imposters do not kill players, but teleport them to a rift.

The Fortnite and Between Us crossover was great news for people, especially as they thought it would be a collaboration between indie developer Innersloth and Epic Games to bring it to another platform. It's a matter of time to see what happens next.
