Fortnite X Walking Dead Collaboration
The big Fortnitemares 2021 celebration event already started yesterday and runs until November 1, 2021, lasting almost a full month for players to grab some new stuff like skins and more. One of the additions to this series has already been released and three more are on the way. A card to the right of the Frankenstein Monster that was released shows Rick's trademark hat from the series, thus pointing to its soon to be released.
This tease follows a leak earlier this year that suggested Epic was working on a new Walking Dead collaboration with AMC, although we didn't know then what character it might be. Daryl and Michonne came to the game last year, the most likely candidates would be Rick, and his nemesis Negan, but Rick has already been confirmed. The series that Rick hails from, the Undead AMC series is finally wrapping up with its current 11th season.
The current season of The Walking Dead is the last for AMC. Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln left the series in 2018 but will reprise the role in a trilogy of films. Given the character's long history with the franchise, it makes perfect sense that he would come to Fortnite. This news has not been confirmed, so players have to wait for the event.
